The councillor for Orihuela’s Beaches, Luisa Boné, has highlighted the success of The Winter Beach activities on the coast, and the massive participation in these fen, water-based weekend events.
Last weekend, on October 6 and 7, approximately 200 people enjoyed diving, aquagym, canoeing, paddle surfing and children’s workshops in La Caleta, in Cabo Roig.
“It is the third week of the new season of “The Winter Beach” and we are now confident that we are fulfilling the expectations, given the large number of participating users, arriving in some activities, such as paddle surfing and in the dive baptism, and there are still activities every weekend until the first weekend of December,” said Luisa Boné.
The Winter Beach, in its second season, offers free activities such as diving baptism (first time diving experiences), paddle surfing, canoeing, children’s workshops and sports activities such as yoga, zumba, aquagym.
Boné, said that, “from the departments of beaches and youth we wanted to try water sports outside the summer season, since we have a climate and beaches that make it more than viable.”
