Mobile operator EE has announced that it will offer customers access to 4G mobile broadband in France and Spain, with plans to extend its 4G coverage to the USA, Italy, Germany, Switzerland and the Netherlands by the Summer.
4G roaming will not cost any more than 3G roaming, so travellers can buy roaming bundles starting at £3 for 100MB of data in a 24 hour period. The offer is immediately available to consumers and small business customers, with corporate customers to follow soon.
“Whether it’s working on the move, social networking, using maps, or just finding a great place to eat in an unknown city, our customers will now benefit from the same superfast and reliable mobile experience at home and overseas.”
Earlier today, EE was named best British mobile operator in an independent study of mobile performance across the UK by mobile analytics firm RootMetrics.
